I love photographing Mothers with their children. There is so much love and affection exchanged between my subjects that it creates a wonderful environment to create photographs in. Emily's shoot was a 3 generation shoot and included her own mother and her young daughter. Its beautiful to see the strength and love in these dynamic relationships. 
Courtney chose to do a family shoot for her Mother's Day session. Her daughter was filled with energy and ran around everywhere but still allowed us to capture some wonderful shots. A half hour shoot was the perfect amount of time to keep her focus! Her son, chill as ever, just enjoyed his time in the sunshine :) 
I've had the pleasure of photographing Ashley for her engagement photos, wedding photos, maternity and newborn photos. She's been a great friend for a number of years and it was amazing to photograph her with her new daughter for her very first Mother's Day! It was an incredibly special moment for me.

This was such a unique photo shoot, and it was a lot of fun! Tyler invited me to go on location with him and photograph while he performed dental checkups on three horses at a local stable. First he does a general checkup of the horse and then administers a mild sedative to keep the horse calm while he checks their teeth. The horse remains standing the entire time which I found fascinating because I had assumed they would be laying down. He proceeds to check their teeth, both on the inside and on the outside. If he discovers there are any jagged edges or waves he grinds them down with a specialized tool so that the horse does not develop eating issues. It was so much fun to photograph and such a unique performance to witness. Tyler is an incredible vet and totally mobile. Lady J's Beautiful Family 05/04/2012
I have had the great pleasure of becoming Jennica's friend over this past year and I was so excited to photograph her beautiful family. This was my first introduction to her oldest son and I want the world to know he is an amazing, kind and thoughtful young man. Her youngest, while still under a year old, exudes love and playfulness. Brianna is finally here! She is the sweet new baby girl of my great friend Ashley. I was lucky enough to photograph Ashley's engagement, wedding, and maternity photos and now her daughter's newborn photos. I have eagerly awaited Brianna'a arrival almost as intensely as Ashley (no one beats a mother's emotions when it comes to her baby) and am so happy to share these beautiful photos. I had the great pleasure of meeting the Hammond's when I did their Maternity photos. There was so much love between them that I new right away their baby was coming into the world ready to be loved and I was very excited to photograph their new daughter Isla because that intense emotion radiates out and creates a happy, beautiful and secure baby. I was not disappointed. The moments of love I captured between Kate and her daughter are precious and emotional, and Isla is the sweetest little thing :)      Baby Boy Thain 02/04/2012
I was delighted to photograph this adorable boy a few weeks ago. He is a few months younger then my daughter and still in that infant stage where they stay in one spot and endure the endless cuddles and kisses without a fuss. I am so honored to have been able to capture this amazing time in my friend's life. She looked absolutely beautiful throughout her pregnancy and even more so as she nears the end of it. Her and her husband are both so excited to meet their baby. You can see it in their eyes and feel it in their energy. This super cute couple is expecting their first baby in about a month and I had the pleasure of photographing their maternity photos. The weather did not cooperate but we still got some fantastic shots in their home. More beautiful photos from this shoot are also in the Maternity Gallery.        |
